Use your Arizona Career Readiness Credential (ACRC) to job search

  • Explore the list of employers who recognize and support the ACRC (Employer Advocates) – search for postings from those companies - on the Employer Page of ACRC.AZ.gov  
  • Consider applying to similar companies, though not yet ACRC Employer Advocates
  • Use ACRC’s Occupation Profiles of your targeted occupations – found under 'Employers' in ACRC.AZ.gov  
  • Post on social media – Edit your LinkedIn profile to reflect your ACRC and its level
  • Advertise your ACRC achievement and encourage your testing location to post your accomplishment  

 

Rise to the top of the candidate pool – Use these application tips and interview talking points

  • Highlight your ACRC attainment in cover letters, resumes, applications, and your LinkedIn profile  
  • Resume Sample: Level 3 Arizona Career Readiness Credential (ACRC) issued by the State of Arizona (use the Arizona logo) earned December 2021 – No Expiration Date  
  • Use explanations from the Credential Skills Profile (back page of certificate) as key phrases for cover letter, resume, application, and as talking points in interviews  
  • Print out and attach two-sided ACRC to physical cover letters, applications, and resumes when applicable, and place a two-sided copy in your portfolio for interviews  
  • Emphasize the value of your ‘readiness’ having earned an ACRC in
    • 3 applied foundational academic skill areas – list them and earned levels
    • 4 workplace competence/professional skills – list them 
  • Point out how your ACRC scores match targeted scores found in the Occupation Profile of that job and O*Net's Job Zones
  • Create a profile in Arizona Job Connection (azjobconnection.gov), PipelineAZ (pipelineaz.com), AZ Career Information System (portal.azcis.intocareers.org), or similar career exploration services, and specify an earned ACRC with the level achieved for career pursuits

 

Stay engaged

  • Upgrade your ACRC to a higher level to be more marketable for hire
  • Continue to access the online system to print additional copies of your ACRC, as well as improve your level – your profile remains active indefinitely
